CHEESE FONNDUE Recipe

Ingredients

  • 3/4 t. salt
  • 1 1/4 c. milk
  • 1/3 t dry mustard
  • 1 3/4 c. bread crumbs
  • 1/2 lb. grated cheese (soft)

Instructions

  1. Fold in 5 stiffly beaten egg whites. Bake in buttered custard cups until firm. Oven about 325 F.
  2. Spanish Sauce
  3. Cook 1/2 green pepper, shredded and 1 small onion, chopped fine, in 2 T. butter. Add 2 c. canned tomatoes and simmer slowly to thicken. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Add 1/2 c. button mushrooms, Invert cheese cups on platter. Pour hot sauce over cups and serve. Serves 8 to 10.
