Ginger Lemonade with Wheat Grass Juice Recipe

Wheat Grass has many known health benefits. It contains high doses of vitamins, such as A, B, B-complex, C, E and K as well as being loaded with vast amounts of protein and iron. Wheatgrass is made primarily out of chlorophyll, an enzyme present in plants that aids in photosynthesis. In humans, studies have shown that they support a healthy hemoglobin count. The chlorophyll also helps in neutralizing harmful toxins as well as helping to cleanse the liver. Wheat grass is also an abundant source of antioxidants. It is an ideal food source for diabetic patients, as it lowers blood sugar levels. Wheat grass has also been used to treat psoriasis and eczema, skin diseases that would otherwise be near debilitating. This lemonade recipe combines wheat grass flavored with ginger, another healthy vegetable.




500 grams fresh wheat grass
1 lemon, juiced
3 carrots, sliced
6 apples, sliced
1 inch piece of ginger, peeled and minced
water as needed
ΒΌ glass milk


Using a blender or juicer, mix the wheat grass, lemon juice, carrots, and apples. Add the milk and water then blend until pureed. Using a wire mesh strainer, take out the bits and sediments from the juice. Serve with lots of ice.
