Steamed Crappie

Ingredients

  • 1 cleaned, gutted crappie
  • 1 tsp. margarine
  • 1 tsp. dried onion flakes
  • 1/2 tsp. light soy sauce
  • 1/4 tsp. lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Take one cleaned and gutted crappie, lay on a large piece of tinfoil. Add margarine, onion flakes, soysauce and lemon juice and wrap the whole thing tightly. I put about 15-20 fish in a rectangle pan, put in enough water to about fill the pan 1/3 to 1/2 full. Put in a slow oven for two hours allowing the meat to steam.
  2. When the foil is opened, grab the tail and shake the fish gently. All the meat will fall off the boat and tastes wonderfully fresh.
